Privacy Policy

1. Who we are

Clipstack is a software product that helps you turn long-form video into short-form clips. The Service is operated by the Clipstack team. For privacy requests, contact support@clipstack.pro.

2. Information we collect

Account data. When you sign up, we collect your email address and authentication credentials (or identifiers from Google or Discord if you use OAuth). We do not store your OAuth provider password.

Billing data. Payments are processed by Stripe. We receive subscription status, customer identifiers, invoice/payment metadata, and credit-ledger information needed to run Pro and token packs. We do not store full card numbers on Clipstack servers — Stripe does.

Project & media data. Depending on how you use the product, we may store:

• Project names, categories, clip metadata, and editor settings
• Uploaded source videos, captions/transcripts, thumbnails, and brand logos in cloud object storage (Cloudflare R2)
• Usage signals such as analysis runs and download markers

Processing on your device. Some editing, framing, caption burn-in, and export work runs in your browser. That local work may use temporary device storage (for example IndexedDB/cache) and is not automatically uploaded unless the feature you use sends it to our servers or a third-party processor.

Technical & log data. Our hosts and auth providers may collect IP address, device/browser type, timestamps, and request logs needed to operate and secure the Service.

3. How we use information

• Provide, maintain, and improve the Service
• Authenticate you and protect accounts
• Process subscriptions, token packs, and credit usage
• Run AI-assisted analysis (for example highlight detection from captions/transcripts) via configured LLM providers
• Respond to support requests and enforce our Terms
• Comply with law and prevent abuse or fraud

4. AI and third-party processors

Clipstack uses third-party services to operate. Depending on configuration and features you use, that may include:

• Supabase — authentication and project/database metadata
• Cloudflare R2 — object storage for media and related files
• Stripe — payments and billing portal
• LLM providers (for example Google Gemini or other configured providers) — analysis of captions/transcript text you submit for generation
• Hosting / infrastructure providers that run the web app and related APIs

When you run analysis, relevant text (such as captions or transcript segments) may be sent to an LLM provider to produce clip suggestions. Do not upload content you are not allowed to process with third-party AI services.

5. Cookies and similar technologies

We use cookies and similar storage primarily for authentication sessions (so you stay signed in) and basic product preferences (for example remembering a recent sign-in method). We do not currently run a separate advertising cookie stack on the marketing site.

6. How we share information

We share information with processors that help us run Clipstack (listed above), when required by law, to protect rights and safety, or with your direction. We do not sell your personal information.

7. Retention

We keep account and project data while your account is active and as needed to provide the Service, meet legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements. You can delete projects in the app. If you want your account deleted, email support@clipstack.pro. Residual backups or logs may persist for a limited period after deletion.

8. Security

We use industry-standard measures such as encrypted transport (HTTPS), access controls, and provider-managed infrastructure security. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure. You are responsible for keeping your password and account access confidential.

9. Your choices and rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or export personal data, or to object to certain processing. Contact us at support@clipstack.pro and we will respond as required by applicable law. You can also update account details in Settings and manage billing via Stripe’s customer portal where available.

10. Children

Clipstack is not directed to children under 16 (or the minimum age required in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has created an account, contact us and we will take appropriate steps.

11. International transfers

We and our processors may process data in the United States and other countries. If you access the Service from elsewhere, you understand your information may be transferred to and processed in those locations, which may have different data-protection laws than your home country.

12. Changes

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the revised version on this page and update the “Last updated” date. If changes are material, we may provide additional notice (for example in-product or by email).
